Make your own Photobooth

The Photo-booth, a new but already soo popular addition to the Reception, and what a way to remember your guests. I happen to LOVE this idea, and when I finally tie that knot, you better believe there will be one of these, and yes it will be a HIT.

Some couples set the mood with a simple cloth background, and others with printed playful backgrounds and PROPS. Such as: Lamps, Empty Frames, Letters, Sofa's, Umbrellas, Glasses, Hats, Lips & Mustaches on sticks…. Anything you can Imagine! Even Better, add your own personal touch with personalized props. For example: As a boot and light lover, I'd probably have an assortment of embarrassing rain/winter boots with a background FULL of lanterns & twinkle lights, and well maybe a moustache or two.

Take a look at some of these great couples backdrops, so original and oh soo memorable.

Babycakes NYC: A healthy alternative to wedding cake

BabyCakes NYC BabyCakes NYCFrom the infamous Magnolia’s Bakery, to the Crumbs chain of cupcake stores, to the Treats Truck that is currently parked in Union Square, the cupcake craze has reached an all-time high in New York City. With temptation on every corner (literally!), it’s tough to stay healthy and refrain from downing tons of sugar, flour and butter cream.

Luckily, thanks to Erin McKenna’s Babycakes NYC bakery on Broome between Orchard and Ludlow, it just got a little easier to stay healthy and still allow for some indulgence. Babycakes offers all-natural, organic alternatives to the super sugary treats that have overrun the streets of New York…. And best of all, they taste amazing!

This Lower East Side store has gained a following among locals who are health conscious, people with allergies and, yup… you guessed it, brides! Babycakes offers vegan and gluten-free wedding cakes, “table” cakes and cupcakes that brides are gushing over. And if you just need a little pick-me-up during the wedding planning process (or really any time that you’re on the Lower East Side), I would recommend the agave-sweetened red velvet cupcake with creamy vanilla frosting. Yum!

For more information on Babycakes NYC, or to schedule a wedding cake tasting, call 212.677.5047 or visit www.babycakesnyc.com.

REAL Wedding: Jason & Julie Williams

On July 10th, 2010 - NHL player Jason Williams married his high-school sweetheart Julie, and if you don't know her take our word for it, she is a sweetheart!

Not only was last weekend quite possibly the hottest weekend of summer thus far. It was beautiful!! The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Not to hot [though I'm sure some would disagree] and not too cool. The sun was shining until late in the day as guests got to bask in the shade under white linen tents.

A live String Band serenaded and played throughout the Ceremony, as beautiful soft teal dressed bridesmaids made their way down the Aisle. The bride wore a strapless mermaid chiffon beaded gown, that flowed in the wind, and became quite useful for dancing later on! The Ceremony was followed by Cocktail hour, where d'orderves were served, and guests had a chance to take fun photos and make an entry in the Bride and Groom's Scrapbook. The Reception followed with hilarious stories and heart warming speeches, not to mention the amazing 3 course meal, tasty cake [ yes i had a piece] and followed by of course, dancing dancing and more dancing!

Wedding planning was done by none other than our very own Jaime Robson of Blush Affairs. I had the pleasure of assisting Jaime on the day of and YES I can attest that though these photos are remarkable, it was all the more breath taking in real life.

Take a seat as we tease you with just a taste from inside the event of Jason and Julie's White Tent Wedding Affair.

More pics coming SOON...

As the evening carried on, and guests finished off their dessert, this venue just got more beautiful!
