Tissue Paper Power {DIY: Pom Poms}

Via The Sweetest Occasion

If you're hosting a party and you're on a budget, decorate with tissue paper pom poms. These paper poms transform any space by adding texture, a splash of colour, and some modern day style.

Pom pom's can be any size, different shapes (depending on how you cut the ends), and placed almost anywhere. I've used them indoors, outdoors, hung from ceilings and chandeliers. They can also be used decorate your utensils. Who knew!? (See photo below).

You'll need:
  • Tissue paper
  • String/wire
  • Scissors

TIP: Don't make them the day of the party. They can take a little time (depending on how many you want). While watching TV, I usually make a few one night, a few more another night.

I would never have thought to mix colours...but it works! There's an eerie feel about the colours used here.
I can see this working in an Alice in Wonderland themed party (the original Lewis Carroll's version).

I especially adore this idea - placing pom pom's on a table and floor.
This would probably work well in a large space with tall ceilings (where hanging them from the ceiling is quite a feat).
